US Government Asked Linus Torvalds To Place Backdoor Into Linux Operating System

At the Linuxcon conference in New Orleans today, Linus Torvalds and therefore the other high Linux developers, talked to the Linux devoted concerning Linux, Microsoft, and other problems. During a question and answer ‪session ‬at ‪the Linuxcon, Linus Torvalds admitted to questions from the audience that the US Government approached him to place a backdoor into his Operating System. Torvalds responded "no" whereas shaking his head "yes," because the audience broke into spontaneous laughter.

Then somebody asked if Linus would have an interest in becoming Microsoft's CEO, that was answered with smile and since he's totally glad with the development of Linux and his life. He noted that once he started Linux twenty two years ago, the hardware was terribly completely different than it's these days. He expects that twenty years from currently the hardware can change even more.

"Linux usage keeps changing. Linux today is very different from even ten years ago,” Torvalds added.I hope it will continue to meet new use cases."

During the session, Torvalds explained why he became a developer in the first place. He said that once he started, he did not have cash to run UNIX system on his own machine. He also said that his friends were enjoying games on their computers that he could not afford, therefore he had to learn to programming.
